How do you handle pet emergencies?

In the case of an emergency, I will first contact you immediately while ensuring your pet gets the necessary attention right away. I will take your pet to your preferred Veterinary Clinic or the nearest Emergency Animal Hospital, depending on the situation. Remember, I am insured and bonded by PetCare Business Insurance, including Emergency Veterinary Pet Coverage and General Liability Coverage, to protect you and your pet!

What if my pet has special needs or medications?

During our Meet and Greet, please inform me of any special needs, medications, or care routines your pet requires. I am committed to adhering to your pet's routine care to ensure they receive the best possible attention while you're away!

Can I book services on short notice?

I understand that unexpected needs can arise. While I can often accommodate short-notice requests, my availability cannot be guaranteed, especially during my busy periods with the RISE Dance Arts & Co. Competition Dance Team (spring and early summer) and MSHS Color Guard Team (late summer and fall). To ensure availability, please book as early as possible!

What is your cancellation policy?

Life is unpredictable, and I understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, you must notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations of scheduled bookings made in less than 24 hours may result in a cancellation fee. Rescheduling of services should be made at least 12 hours in advance. Services rescheduled with less than 12 hours notice may result in a rebooking fee. As long as you communicate with me, I will make every attempt to accommodate minimal changes in scheduling at no cost to you!

What animals do you care for?

My clients include dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes, as well as occasional lizards, geckos, bearded dragons, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, and fish (sorry, no snakes)!

Are there any breeds you do not sit for?

I do not discriminate against any breed. I believe that all dog breeds deserve love and care. However, I will assess the pet's temperament and behavior during the Meet and Greet to ensure I can provide the safest and most effective care before agreeing to pet sit or dog walk for them.

Do you have other services than drop-in visit pet sittings?

At MyPetFriendsICT, we're dedicated to providing personalized care for your furry family members. We understand that each pet is unique, and we tailor our services to meet their individual needs. Apart from scheduled Drop-In Visit Pet Sittings, I also offer Overnight Stays and Pet Care Sittings for those pets that need more attention. I also have Quick Break Potty Sittings and "Paws"itively Energized Dog Walkings, along with various homemade pet treats available for purchase.

How will I know how my pet is doing?

At each visit, I will send you an update with texts, emails, pictures (Instagram), or even short video messages (TikTok); as much communication as you would prefer to keep you updated on your pets, reassuring you that they are well cared for!

What is your payment policy and how do I pay?

At MyPetFriendsICT, I aim to make the booking and payment process as convenient as possible. Here's what you need to know about paying for our services:

  • Payment is not required at the time of booking

  • Payment is due promptly after services are rendered

 

Accepted Payment Methods
We offer several payment options to suit your preferences:

  1. Cash: You can always pay in cash once the services are completed

  2. Venmo: Send payments quickly and securely using Venmo

  • Username: @MyPetFriendsICT

  • No additional fees are applied when using Venmo

   3. Credit/Debit Card via Wix Payment System: You will receive a Secure Paylink email from MyPetFriendsICT at the time of booking

  • Payment is due once the services have been provided

  • A transaction fee of $0.30 + 2.9% of the transaction amount will be applied

 

*Tips, while not required, are always appreciated! Please ensure that payments are made promptly after the completion of services to avoid any late fees.

What should I provide for the Meet and Greet?

I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pet! To ensure that I can provide the highest quality of care, please have information about your pet's routine, behavior and temperament, medical conditions, Veterinarian contact, and any other relevant details ready for the Meet and Greet. By providing this comprehensive information, you'll help us create a comfortable and safe environment for your pet. My goal is to ensure that your pet receives care that's as close to what they receive when you are at home as possible. This will help me to provide the best care possible for your pet!

Pet Routine

  • Feeding schedule: times and portion sizes, along with preferred food brand and feeding instructions

  • Your preference on their ability to receive some of my delicious homemade treats

  • Exercise routine: preferred times for walks, favorite activities, and exercise limitations, if any

  • Bathroom habits: typical schedule and preferred locations

Behavior and Temperament

  • Interaction with other animals (other pets in-home and outside of the home) and people

What happens if my pet makes a mess or there's an accident?

At MyPetFriendsICT, we understand that accidents happen, especially with pets. My commitment to your pet's well-being includes maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times. I will promptly clean up any messes or accidents and inform you of the incident. I will assess the situation to determine if there are any preventive measures that can be taken to minimize the chances of a repeat incident. My goal is to ensure your pet feels comfortable and secure and that you return to a home just as clean as you left it, if not cleaner!

How do you manage multiple pets with different needs?

I recognize that each pet has its own personality, needs, and routines. When caring for pets in multi-pet households, we ensure that each receives the individual attention they deserve, tailored to their needs. I will take the time to learn about each pet's distinct preferences, behavior, and care requirements during our initial Meet and Greet. Whether it's providing meals at different times, ensuring individual play sessions, or administering unique medication schedules, we customize our care for each pet. I believe that individual attention leads to happier pets and a more harmonious home!

For my pet-sitting services, I primarily serve the neighborhoods of Northwest Wichita, KS, and Maize, KS areas. Any resident neighborhoods whose students attend the USD 266 Maize School District are my target clientele. If you live in Tyler’s Landing Subdivision (37th & Tyler), ask about my “Tyler's Landing Neighborly Discount!

 

For our valued customers in the Wichita / ICT metro area, we offer Free Delivery straight to your doorstep. Our goal is to provide a convenient service that allows you to spoil your pets with our delicious treats without any hassle! If you live outside of this area, I can ship and mail for a minimally agreed-upon fee! If you're outside the Wichita / ICT metro area, don't worry! We can still provide your pets with our homemade treats. We offer shipping and mailing services for a minimal fee, which we agree upon before confirming your order. 

What are your prices?

What hours are you available?

I aim to provide flexible and reliable pet care that fits your schedule. Below are the details of our service hours and availability for each type of service we offer.

Drop-In Visit Pet Sittings, Quick Break Potty Sittings, and "Paws"itively Energized Dog Walkings

  • Regular Hours: 6 AM - 10 PM, daily

  • Extended Availability: Available outside regular hours upon request and subject to schedule availability due to school and extracurricular commitments. Please inquire for specific requests

Overnight Stays and Pet Care Sittings

  • Daily Presence: My standard commitment is to be at your residence from at least 10 PM to 6 AM. This schedule may be adjusted based on my other bookings, school obligations, or dance/color guard practices

  • Extended Care: While my official hours are stated above, I often arrive earlier in the evening and stay later the following morning to ensure your pet receives ample love and attention. On average, you can expect me to be with your pet for 10-12 hours during an overnight stay

I strive to make my time with your pet as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, mimicking the loving attention they would receive from you. Please keep in mind that my availability may vary, especially during school terms and practice seasons. I recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time slots.

For any special requests or to discuss scheduling that falls outside these hours, please feel free to contact me. I am here to accommodate you and your pet's needs to the best of my ability.

Is MyPetFriendsICT Pet-Sitting & Homemade Pet Treats Insured?

When you entrust your precious pets to my care, you can rest assured that I take every precaution to ensure their safety and well-being. Part of that commitment includes having comprehensive insurance and bonding through PetCare Business Insurance.

Here's what my insurance coverage means for you:

  • Emergency Veterinary Pet Coverage: In the unlikely event of a medical emergency with your pet while under my care, my insurance policy provides coverage for Veterinary expenses, ensuring that your pet gets the care it needs without delay

  • General Liability Coverage: If an incident occurs resulting from my negligence, such as accidental property damage or pet injury, my policy is in place to address those situations

 

In regards to personal harm:

  • Client Responsibility: Should an incident occur where I am injured by your pet or on your property (e.g., a dog bite), it would generally be covered under the client's homeowner's general liability insurance. This is a standard practice and ensures that both parties are protected!

I am committed to delivering the highest standard of care for your pets and your home. While I plan to try to avoid any incidents, the safety nets of insurance and bonding are in place so that we can address any unexpected situations responsibly and with minimal stress.

Are you available to watch my pets during holidays?

Planning a getaway during the holidays? Ensure your pets are in good hands by booking your pet care services early! Our holiday slots fill up quickly, and we operate on a first-come, first-served basis!

How do I book a visit or service with you?

Booking your pet's care with us is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps to secure your pet-sitting services:

  3. Click on the "Request to Book" feature

  4. If you are booking for multiple days, please select the starting day of the service as the requested date

 

Alternative Booking Methods:

  • Call/Text: Reach out to us at 316-650-4722. We're available to check availability, answer any questions, and secure your booking over the phone

 

Booking Confirmation:
Once we receive your request, we will promptly check our availability and get back to you to confirm your booking and discuss any further details or requirements.

What are the next steps after hiring MyPetFriendsICT for pet-sitting?

Thank you for choosing MyPetFriendsICT for your pet-sitting needs! To ensure the best care for your pets and peace of mind for you, please follow these steps after hiring us with a Request to Book:

1. Complete Your Client / Pet Profile:

You will receive an email from Wix Bookings inviting you to complete your profile. Please provide all necessary details about your pets, home, and any emergency information required for their care.

2. Sign Service Agreements

Before we can proceed with the scheduled sitting, you'll need to review and sign the following documents:

  • Contractual Service Agreement Form: Outlines the terms and conditions of our pet care services.

  • Pet Care (Veterinarian) Emergency Authorization Form: Details the procedures in case of a medical emergency, including proof of rabies vaccination and your vet's contact information.

These forms are designed to protect both parties and will need to be signed virtually and returned to us.

3. Schedule a Meet and Greet

Once you've completed your profile and signed the necessary forms, we'll arrange a Meet and Greet visit to your home.

This allows us to:

  • Meet you, your family, and most importantly your pets

  • Gives me time to get acquainted with your pets

  • Allows me to understand your pet care routines and expectations

  • Physical key requirement – I will need a physical key to your home, even if you have an electric garage entry code. This is a precaution in case of a power outage, ensuring I'll always have access to care for your pets! This key will be promptly returned within 48 hours of completion of your booking to you after the pet-sitting service unless you request me to keep it for future bookings. In that case, it will be stored in a safe, secure until needed or requested for it to be returned. 

How far in advance should I book with you?

I understand that planning ahead is key to a stress-free experience, whether it's for travel, accommodation, or services. That's why, at MyPetFriendsICT, we want to remind you that it's never too early to book with us! With no booking, canceling, or modification fees (as long as you adhere to our stated cancellation policy), you can change your plans if necessary without any extra cost. So, whether you're planning for an event next month or a holiday next year, we're ready to accommodate your needs. Don't wait until the last minute—reach out today to get booked and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with having everything arranged in advance.

How do I know MyPetFriendsICT will not forget to show up for the visits?

As we approach the dates for your upcoming pet-sitting visits, I will reach out and confirm all the details to ensure that everything is set for a smooth and stress-free experience for both you and your pets.

How is access to the home handled?

During our scheduled Meet and Greet, I will outline the key and access requirements necessary for the safety and security of your home and pets during your absence. For reliable entry to your home, one physical key is required. Please have this key available to hand over during our meet and greet. This ensures that, in the event of a power outage or technology failure, your pets and home remain accessible. That is perfectly acceptable if you prefer to provide a garage code or other electronic entry method. However, I still require a physical key as a backup. Your home's security is paramount. Please provide the alarm system code. I will make it a practice to confirm this code with you before you depart for each trip to avoid any miscommunication or errors. Upon the completion of my services and once you've confirmed your return home, I will return the key within 48 hours. 

Who will be in my home while I am away?

Your peace of mind during my pet0sitting services is paramount to MyPetFrendsICT's key to success. As the sole employee of MyPetFrendsICT, I take pride in offering personalized and consistent care for your beloved pets. You can rest assured knowing that I am the primary person who will be visiting and caring for your pets in the comfort of your own home. Due to increased demand During peak holiday periods, I have a trusted backup sitter available to ensure your pet's care remains uninterrupted. This backup support is provided by none other than my trusted business partner, my father, who is not only an experienced Human Resource Manager but is also a seasoned pet parent, currently to three dogs. His extensive years of experience as a supportive Girl Scout Dad and Dance Dad reflect his reliability and nurturing nature. Should the need arise for my father to step in, you will be notified well in advance. Communication is a cornerstone of our service, and we want to ensure you are comfortable and informed at every step.

 

To provide you with additional peace of mind, both my father and I have undergone and passed background checks. These checks have been conducted through the trusted pet sitter platform, Rover.com, where we maintain our profiles.

What can I do to ensure my pet's safety while in MyPetFriendsICT's care?

To provide the utmost care and protection for your pet while they are in our care, we have a thorough Meet and Greet process designed to ensure we understand every aspect of your pet's personality, habits, and requirements. Pets, much like people, have their own set of behaviors and routines that are essential to their well-being.

 

During our initial meeting, I will be asking detailed questions about:

  • Daily routines and schedules

  • Behavioral tendencies and past incidents

  • Medical needs and dietary restrictions

  • Exercise habits and playtime preferences

  • Emergency care instructions

  • Any special quirks or triggers

 

We appreciate your openness and honesty when discussing your pet's characteristics. Whether it's an adventurous spirit that tempts them to explore beyond open doors or a shy nature that requires a gentle approach, every detail you provide will help us tailor our care to your pet's specific needs. Understanding your pet's individuality allows us to create a comfortable and secure environment for them. It is our promise to treat your pet with the same love and attention they receive at home!

What will happen if there is inclement weather while I am out of town?

When inclement weather is called for, I will contact all scheduled clients to inform them that some pet visit schedules may be affected. If your pet's visit is likely delayed, I will contact you with as much notice as possible and provide an approximate new time frame. Please rest assured that I will do everything possible to visit your pet at the closest possible time to their usual schedule. While I am committed to ensuring your pet receives all the care and attention they're scheduled for, the timing of my visits may need to be adjusted for safety reasons. Your understanding is greatly appreciated as we navigate these conditions to keep everyone safe, including our furry friends. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or specific instructions.

What if my trip home is delayed?

I will follow up with you before my currently scheduled last visit to see if you are still on track to return home as planned. Please let me know as soon as possible if your travel itinerary has any changes or delays. If you’re running late, just let me know, and I will continue to watch your pet during the next normal visitation time. Should you require additional visits, I am happy to accommodate. I always strive to be flexible to account for the unexpected and can typically manage at least one additional visit if needed. Any extra visits will be provided at the regular rate, and I kindly ask that payment for these additional services be arranged before the commencement of the extended care period.

What happens if there is an emergency situation or issue with my pet or home?

Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities at MyPetFrendsICT. I am committed to providing the best care possible during your absence. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I have a comprehensive plan to ensure that your pet and home are taken care of promptly and effectively.

Pet Emergency Procedure:

   1. Immediate Assessment:

If you have a health issue with your pet, I will promptly assess the situation to determine the severity.

   2. Contacting You:

If the issue is severe, my first step will be to contact you directly to discuss the situation and the recommended course of action.

   3. Vet Visit:

  • Regular Vet: If your pet needs medical attention and your regular vet's office is open, that will be our first stop.

  • Emergency Vet: I will take your pet to the vet clinic for after-hours emergencies.

   4. En Route Communication:

I will contact you while I am on my way to the vet to keep you updated.

   5. Emergency Vet Procedures:

The emergency vet will conduct an initial triage to determine urgency. They will then provide you with a quote for any necessary procedures requiring payment before proceeding.

   6. Emergency Contact Involvement:

I will call your emergency contact for instructions if I can't reach you. Should both parties be unreachable, I will instruct the vet to make your pet comfortable until contact can be established.

   7. Financial Responsibility:

Please note that any veterinary fees incurred that are not covered under my pet insurance policy are your responsibility.

Non-Emergency Pet Issues:

For non-emergency health concerns, I will address the issue with the appropriate care and contact you with a full report as soon as possible afterward.

Home Emergency Procedure:

In the event of an emergency concerning your home, such as a break-in, fire, or flood:

1. Immediate Action:

I will take any immediate, necessary action to manage the situation safely and responsibly.

2. Communication:

I will contact you and your emergency contact without delay.

3. On-Site Management:

If required, I will remain on-site to handle the issue until it is resolved or until you or emergency services give further instructions.

4. Additional Fees:

Please be aware that staying beyond the scheduled visit time to manage a home emergency will incur additional fees at [insert your rate or policy].

 

Your peace of mind is vital to us, and we want to ensure that your pet and home are in capable hands.
