The Schweenie is a hybrid dog. The mix of Shih Tzu and the Dachshund parent breeds. These small dogs have a big heart. They get a sense of playfulness, enjoy being affectionate, and have an outgoing temperament from their Shih Tzu side, while maintaining a sense of curiosity, spunkiness, and sheer stubbornness from their Dachshund side. They are highly intelligent and friendly. They enjoy pleasing their owners and are very affectionate with their family. Do not require a great deal of activity either; often being able to freely run and play inside will help him work off their pent-up energy.

Weimaraners are a large breed dog that was originally bred as a hunting dog in the early 19th century. Early Weimaraners were used by royalty for hunting large game such as boar, bear, and deer. Weimaraners can make excellent companions, but due to their hunting heritage, they have a lot of energy!
